  1. Heyyyyyy bcasting students of tha future,

I absolutely luved having broadcasting this semester! The funnest thing is deffinatly being with my best friends Priya, Taylor, and Noah, but I also loved making funny videos for the broadcast. Soooo there are 3 things u shud NEVER do in this class:

    1. Never tell tha password to tha computers in tha room or you shall die a painful death.
    2. The camera is worth more than your life. Don’t break it.
    3. Do anything that youd be embaressed for others to see. Most likely, someone has a camera pointed at you.

I was talent for our final broadcast. There’s absolutely nothin that I’d change about this class. Everything’s lots of fun! Plussss, Mrs. Gonzalez and Mr. Lewis are lotz of funn!

BUTTT make sure u keep up with the anouncements when it’s ur turn to do sooo.

    Luv,
Sky Daniels (AKA, No Bcast nickname cuz I didnt get 1, LOLZ)

  2. Dear second bcast semister,
My name is Noah Lee and i was talent. You might remeber from such bcast skits as Christmas Trivia and Christmas Caroling with the Village Idiot. Being talent requires a “special” sence of humor if you are doing short, funny clips.

The best thing about bcast is writing letters to second semister bcast teams… Too bad for you!

One thing i would wish to improve in Bcasting is that we have bcasting all year long! Thats obviously no going to happen so another think i would want to improve is that we have HD flips because quality counts.

Here is ome advice for you guys. If Mrs. Gonzales is in a bad mood… DO NOT CRACK JOKES!!!!1110002oneone. She hates that. Also if something bad happens, blame it on Priya. One last thing, THE CAKE IS A LIE!!!

    -Noah Lee

  3. Hi people Im Taylor Smith,
And you might remember me from some the recent broadcasts.I’m also in the more recent Holiday Broadcast. Im here to tell you that this has been the BEST class in my 8th grade year…. I loved being with my best friends Priya and Sky.I did not know them when I started But now we are best friends, so Broadcasting is a great way to make best friends! But there are some things you should know about broadcasting…..

    1.NEVER tell the passwords
2.Everything that happens in the Broadcasting room STAYS in the broadcasting room.
3.The Materials you use are worth more than your life.
If you follow these rules you will be great in broadcasting.
There is nothing really i would change, broadcast would not be the same if it changes, so dont change it!!
When you end this class you will want to cry, it has been the funniest Class EVER!!!!So Enjoy it while you can…
    With love,
    Taylor Smith

  4. Dear students of the second semester broadcasting class..
My name is Micah Leroi Wells and I was a camera man in the first ever Skyview Broadcasting class. I filmed a lot of the video’s that you saw on air. The thing I enjoyed most about broadcasting is the class size and what we actually did. I was in a small group which made it fun. I also liked the fact that I could walk into class on any given day and be told to grab a camera then go film. The only thing that I would have liked to improve on were the concepts and the final product’s. Because a whole lot of them were not accepted by our audience as much as I would have liked them to be, I wish the class would have lasted a whole year. But since it is not that long here are some tip’s for future camera men/women:1-Use a tripod whenever you can!
2-Check how much recording space you
have before you leave the classroom.
3-Pay attention to detail and always
    record 2 take’s.
4-Stay on task and do not get
    distracted; because that’s how you
    get behind.
    5-Just have fun!

    Sincerely…….
    Micah LeRoi Wells

  5. my name is Priya Thomas and i was a producer. being a producer was fun! i got to be a leader and plan out everything we would do. i really liked it!!!

i really really enjoyed broadcasting!!!! i am glad i was able to have this experience because i have learned so much. i loved being able to record videos and learning to edit them. we also made songs in garage band which was awesomeosis!

i would improve just our attitudes. we should respect each other more as peers. but otherwise it was great!

    DO:
    try your hardest
    be nice
make nicknames for everyone and make jokes!
    have so much fun

    DON’T
    BREAK THE CAMERAS!!!!!
    be mean
    criticise peoples work!!!
fall in love with the cameras like someone….. micah jk

broadcasting will be soooooooooo much fun for you! i am so sad to leave it but i know it will be great for you!!!
    you will make great friends!

ps… blame everything on one kid….during our semester we blamed it on me! it was great 😉

  6. Dear Broadcasting Second Semester

I am RYAN!GOROSPE!(AKA Ham the CameraMan) I filmed some of your favorite skits, like the Christmas Carol Extended Edition and the Crazy Christmas Shoppers. The things I will miss the most are all of the crazy inside jokes(’cause there are so many) and the people.

No doubt you are an unpoppular goon, so make some friends. FAST! They will last for at least the semester. And if you don’t, your time here will be like sitting in a chair being forced to listen to the sounds of nails against a chalkboard. Also never touch Micah’s camerastand. He will hunt you down. DON’T break anything, it will make people mad. So have fun, but don’t shake my apple.

  7. Dear Broadcasting Students,
My name is Darrian Mckiernan. My role was mostly on camera and being the anchor. My favorite part of broadcasting was makeing up skits and acting them out. It was really fun and exciting to be in broadcasting. One thing that does need improving is the people working together. some worked well together and some didn’t. What I would recomend to you is to be nice to everyone and get along well. If you do you will have a great year. I loved broadcasting so much and are I’m sad it is over, but it was great wile it lasted. enjoy it and have lots of fun. it was one of the best classes i have ever done. Well thats about all. I hope you guys enjoy your time in broadcasting. Bye!!!!

    -Darrian

P.S. (Mr. Yerger is going to be your teacher. Just go along with it if he laughs like an evil scientist. But hes really coo. Good luck!)

  8. My name is Nick Rizzuti. I am a camera person (self-explanitory) and also an editor (meaning I handle lots of the computer stuff). The thing I liked best was all the people in broadcasting. They all had a pretty good amount of awesome, and being in broadcasting will give you more as well! Doesn’t that make you happy? It should. Now some things that could be improved are the computers. I suggest emptying them out every once in a while to make them faster.

And now for some advice. I’ve got alot, so listen to someone who’s wiser that you are.
    1. Storyboard as fast as you can. Otherwise you might barely have enough time to finish
    2. In garage band, always check out the “orchestral” section first. I wish I had known that, because it would have saved me a lot of trouble looking for the right track.
    3. Be awesome.
    4. Be friends with everyone. I was, and it made it alot more fun.
    5. Call Mr. Lewis “Lewisville”
    6. [insret random advice here]
    7. The magic eight ball is fun
    8. When you right your letters to the next class, dont start babbling like I am.

    THE END

  9. Dear Broadcasting Students,

P.S. (Mr. Yerger is going to be your teacher. Just go along with it if he laughs like an evil scientist. But hes really cool. Good luck!)

  10. sorry bout that, my computer just added it for no apparrent reason. anyways, i was hoping to tell you about how i think my job was my favorite part of bcasting because i love editing videos and i also love acting.

somethig i would like to improve in bcasting would be my time management. i have to warn you that time is essential for a good quality project. but dont worry, after the first week, youll get the hang of it.

some advice i would give you is that mrs. gonzales doesnt like it when the green sceen glitches on imovie, so try and hide the glitches by lining up the pictures and video up EXACTLY!!!! you probably dont understand what i just said, but you will when you use the greenscreen and import videos.

    GOOD LUCK GUYS!

  11. Well guys, I’m Liam from da past and stuff and i just want to tell you guys how to avoid bad stuff happening to you. Pretty much dont be afriad to be crazy. Being funny is always good in videos. Also when taking videos don’t delete mistakes, they will be used later. Get your work done early so you can start cool projects. Also, i find that doing the projects is better then doing the acutal broadcast be because you aren’t copped up in the room all the time. Also wgho ever reads this needs to be aware that tensions do mount here between people due to silly things. So just stay calm. Also, be careful of the spinning wheel of death. This will only appear on the evil mac computers. (Just FYI it will be hard to get use to the macs, personnally i like windows better they are amazing) Macs also are wierd with all there keys and junk so be warned. So to the the people of the future i hope this letter helps you.

So GOOD LUCK! :) (: Liam Manning (Big Ben)

Also guys this is a super fun class and im gunna miss it alot. In this class you’ll make lots of friends.

  12. Hello everyone my name is kylie and i was in the 2nd semester broadcasting last year! I did talent and producer. it was so much fun to be n this class! :) i loved doing the different projects such as what not to wear and interviews.
If i had the chance to change something it would be the people because some of the people would not listen or work and they can get really annoying but broadcasting was still a great time!!!But there are something you should know
1.)The more stupid you look the better it is
    2.) Be creative
3.) Think out side the box
4.) Listen to your B-cast teachers
5.) Make sure you meet the dead lines and what ever your doing looks AMAZING!!!
6.) come up with new awsome ideas dont do the same thing previouse B-cast emembers have done
7.) Work hard but have fun
8.) Be crazy and funny dont be serouise all the time
9.) NEVER EVER GIVE ANYONE THE PASSWORD
    10.) have fun!!! 😀

  13. dear next year bcast students
    my name is Isaac kim
my role was the camera guy which means you film the project and talent (sometimes) which is acting what. i liked most about broadcasting is making the videos, to see what you make end up as a success and hangin out with friends, that way you guys can have more fun by doing some crazy shennanigans. Probably what id like to improve is my work ethic. My hint of advice for you is always make sure your input gets in otherwise youll probably be forced to cross dress no joke =p.
also you relly dont have alot of time to finish so dont goof around
beside that have a lot of fun.

  14. Dear 2nd Sem class,

Hello! I’m Cheneil, I am mostly and actor/talent, and yea u can probably guess that i act. Ok, im not really good at acting but, i enjoy it :) hahaha…
Wowww i liked soooo many things in b-cast. Maybe being able to express myself would be what i liked the most. I loved the people that I have worked with and yea they’re fun… TEAMWORK is the key to success here… So u should be able to work well with other people… That’s because you’ll do this most of the time in this class….
There’s really nothing that I would improve because b-cast is like AMAZING! Although i hate that pic that i have in that 8th Grade Bio thingee… that’s the only thing that i would change! ha! 😛
    ——————————–DO’S AND DONT’S…………………..—————————-
-DO NOT shake the magic 8 ball thingee…. because bubbles would appear and trust me, you’ll hate it when you want to ask something and it won’t work..
-DO NOT joke around when Mrs. G is in a bad mood… yepp i remembered that time when she just totally got mad because i was asking her something… i almost cried :'( (just kidding!! :P)
-Just be FUN to be around and yepp you’ll survive b-cast..
it would be a FUN experience!!!!

P.S do NOT talk to the camera like what Amber did!!! hahaha GOOD LUCK!!

  15. Dear Next Years B-Casters,
B-Casting is so much fun!!! You will love it!!! I wish it would have been longer.
    Here are some quick tips:

    1. The main role i did during b-castingwas being a talent. I really liked to act and be CRAZY!!!! To make you video good you have to break out and be crazy.

    2. Once again b-cast is so much fun!!! I really liked to act. I got to be crazy and actually have a reason to be crazy.

    3. If I would have done one thing diffrent it would have been to be diffrent and crazy from the begginning. A lot of my earlier videos were not really funny. The crazier i got the funnier they got.

    4. Here are some things TO DO:
-make sure you run your idea through with the teach!!
    -BE CRAZY!!!!!!
-leave plenty of time for editing
-do quality work or it will be left out
    -take others advise
    -think outside the box
    -include every one
    -HAVE FUN
    Things NOT TO DO:
-never give out the pass word
    – never tell outdsiders your ideas
    -never insult others ideas
    -NEVER GIVE OUT THE PASSWORD!!!!

    Ashley Templeton (click crazy)

    HAVE FUN!!!!!!

  16. Helloooo fellow Broadcasting student!(: Im Caitlin Godlewski. I was a talent and producer. Being a talent you had to do alot of acting! And bei9ng a producer you had to make sure everyone was on task and doing what they were suppose to do. Some things to improve would be dont wait till the last minute to do everything. Plus deadlines are deadlines and dont wait to turn things in. Get it done before the deadline so you can work on new projects. Heres some advice
    DO’S:
    1. Always be creative
    2. Be funny,silly,goofy,and crazy
    3. Have fun

    DONT’S:
    1. Dont be boring!!
    2. Dont loose track of time
    3. Dont argue
    4. Dont be serious
    And one last DONT
DONT GIVE OUT BROADCASTING SECRETS AND PASSWORD!!!!
Other then that have fun with broadcasting(:
p.s. Have alot of fun with Mr. Lewisville and Mr.Yergertron(:
    xoxo~Caitlin(:
